What are the benefit of paying for this kind of program, if we can use Google Translate for $FREE ? Sorry for my ignorance, but I really want to know reasons to pay for it.

Google Translate is not the end of everything. And it's certainly not a dictionary. Google translation is an extremly valuable tool to see what a website is about and maybe read some of the content. But in no way does it replace a dictionary (app), even less so if you are a professional translator. That said, TranslateIt! seems only useful for Russian, as it provides a number of big Russian dictionary files (the heart of such an app). For other languages, only freely available dictionary files are provided for the interface (which you are supposed to pay 100$ for?!).

I saw French, Spanish, German, Polish, Italian, Swedish, Dutch, and others on their website for free downloading. Maczot had it for $35; (which is when I bought it) $20 is probably the best price you'll ever get.
