7 bundles sold far? Only 19,993 until the first round of apps is unlocked. :-) Of the apps included that I would want, I already have or a version of (Voila, DevonThinkPro Office), the rest are yawners for me.

The bundle doesn't have DevonThink Pro Office, it's DevonThink Personal. If it had Pro Office I might have gone for it, since I already have Voila, ForkLift (better than Interarchy), and MoneyWell (better than Finance 6). The rest aren't interesting.

From my post: "or a version of" :-) That's what I meant, I already have DTPO. Is that counter stat actually accurate? It's at 12 now. Is the counter software not working, or is that the worst roll out of a bundle deal "ever"?

The MacWeed bundle appears to be a VERY SOLID bundle in my opinion. I already own a few of the apps., so it's not quite a good fit for me. If it weren't for this, I would JUMP ON this bundle - for sure!
  5. Dewtain
@Denny You don't have more than 1 Mac? Perhaps you want to use these apps on all of them and you can use an extra license for that app :).

ImageFramer, Media Catalog, and Photo Styler interest me and those alone save me $39. MacSnapper and Amnesia might also be of use (though I'm reluctant to replace AppZapper as I like it's style). Other than that, I already have Sandvox, but a second would be usefull on my laptop as Dewtain suggests. Like harringg, I already have DEVONthink Pro Office , so am unsure whether I want a 'spare' Personal version; but then I could always upgrade. All in all, it's a good bundle. I would highly recommend DEVONthink; it's normally $50, the price of the bundle, so everything else is a bonus. I also highly recommend Sandvox, normally $57. If it hits 20,000 I'm definitely buying. If it hits the time limit before then, I'm not so sure but probably. It's at 20 now, but I'd expect a slow start since I haven't heard of MacWeed before and it looks like they're a new website this year.

I too have some of these apps already. Image Framer looks like a nice little nitch app, and the bundle is only about $10 more than the cost of that one app. So I might bite. But with such low sales -- even with 18 days to go -- I'm not counting on things like SandVox...better like the unlocked apps alone if you're going for this. I guess that's why some other bundle deals I've seen give a sure-thing, bonus app away to the first xx buyers -- to encourage early sales and push closer to the magic unlock levels. But the iPhone giveaway is a curious approach too.

I don't like the early bonus application method because some people will lose out. I'd expect this offer to be a slow starter and sales to increase nearer the end date. It's at 45 now.

I see that they have dropped the unlock apps from 20000 to 5000 sales, at ~65 sales after a week, I still think they are aiming too high. I'm not knocking it, just pointing out that it's no MacUpdate Promo or MacHeist.

Seems in their forums that some people had problems with fulfillment of serials, and payment processing. Hmmm. Hope they get that straightened out. If you purchased this deal, post here on your experience.

They've removed Amnesia and replaced it with iCalamus, which unlocks at 500 sold. We then have Voila unlocking at 2,000, five more at 5,000, and Sandvox bringing up the rear at 40,000. It's currently at 81 with 13 days to go. Wonder what happens for those who wanted Amnesia?

Amnesia is still part of the bundle. But if it was to be removed, you can still get it from the Mac Bundle Box for free.

Not be a downer, but do they really think they are going to get 2,000, or 5,000 or even close to 40,000 sales? I don't fault them for trying, but in the 10 days since I made a comment here, they have only sold 60 more bundles (82 as of now). Most people who buy these bundles expect that they will get everything in the bundle, I can't say the same for this one.

Just noticed another change, now there are two bundles! Both bundles have:- Interarchy, ImageFramer, Media Catalog unlocked; Voila at 2,000; SkypeCap, Optimism, ProfCast, Photo Styler, MacSnapper at 5,000; Sandvox at 40,000. Bundle #1 also has:- Amnesia, DEVONthink, Finance 6, unlocked. Bundle #2 also has:- iCalamus at 500. Currently at 83 bundles sold and 11 days to go.

I have to say that having two different bundle deals is REALLY confusing and annoying. I guess I understand why they pulled Amnesia (since you can get it free now elsewhere for a limited time), but removing other apps (like Finance & DevonThink) while adding the "locked-until-500" app iCalamus will just suspend my decision on whether to buy. -- I liked Finance, but I also like iCalamus. Sheeesh. Aren't bundles supposed to make things easy?!
  15. Adrian
I agree. The easiest thing would have been to leave Amnesia as part of the bundle and simply add iCalamus. I notice it's been stuck in the early 80s for several days (currently at 85) and can't help but wonder whether the bundle split is the reason it's stalled.
  16. achecht
FYI, it appears that the two bundles have been combined. Now the home page shows iCalamus at 500 and all the other "version 1" bundle apps as well.
  17. Adrian
That's an improvement. Though I have to wonder about Sandvox: the image shows that it'll unlock at 40,000 sold, yet the thermometre tops out at 5,000. Let's hope it's the latter. Now at 102 sold and 5.5 days to go.

On a positive note, they won't have to give away too many iPhones (free iPhone to every 200th bundle sold). ;-)
  19. Adrian
Too true! I'm waiting to buy when it hits 199 but unfortunately only one more has been sold in the last three days... (Sob!)
  20. achecht
This is a cryin' shame. Six hours left, and they didn't even unlock the @500 app or give away a single iPhone yet. I feel bad for anyone who bought this early thinking/hoping they would get some of the unlocked apps.
  21. Dewtain
It's easy to offer great apps, if you set a ridiculous high unlock. Bad management, perhaps better next year. If there will be one.
  22. Adrian
As it stands, I'm interested in ImageFramer and Media Catalog, which only saves me $14 (they're normally $64). Unfortunately that's not enough to tempt me to buy at the moment. I agree that it's a shame, they've drastically overestimated how many bundles they'd sell. I can't remember for sure, but I think not even macupdate aimed so high for their bundles. Hopefully they'll have a rethink and come back later in the year with a better structured bundle.
  23. harringg
Drumroll..... 107! This wasn't managed very well, and the other thing is the apps that were unlocked weren't that great, and the incentive apps weren't much better. Better app selection, better management (don't switch apps mid-promo), and maybe the next round will go better.
